SDMC, a leading provider in the smart home ecosystem, has announced a collaboration with Google Cloud to develop an innovative smart home Internet of Things (IoT) solution called Matter. The solution, built on Google Cloud, aims to enhance the smart home experience for users and unlock new opportunities for technological innovation in the smart home market.
SDMC will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into the development of smart home scenarios. By leveraging Google Cloud Vertex AI’s platform and its high-quality training data, SDMC will create a comprehensive large language model (LLM) called HomeBrain. This LLM will enable natural language interaction and serve as the backbone of smart home operations.
In addition, SDMC will upgrade its smart home IoT management platform, XHome, to support natural language interaction and create the voice-controlled XHome AI platform using the latest AI technology. This platform will offer voice control, emotional companionship, active learning, and service capabilities, enhancing the overall user experience.
To efficiently process large-scale data and enable real-time business intelligence capabilities, SDMC will utilize Google Cloud’s data analysis solution, BigQuery. This will enable users to make informed decisions, improve efficiency, and streamline operation and maintenance management.
The collaboration between SDMC and Google Cloud aims to capitalize on the advancements in AI and the introduction of the Matter Smart Home Standard by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). The integration of these technologies will drive smart homes towards new AI-driven application scenarios and unlock more opportunities for technological innovation in the retail and operator markets.
