Prominent AI Firm Tiger Analytics Expands to Bihar, India’s Emerging Tech Hub
Silicon Valley-based artificial intelligence (AI) company Tiger Analytics has made its first foray into the Indian state of Bihar by opening its inaugural office in the region. With its headquarters located in Santa Clara, Tiger Analytics has commenced operations in Patna, marking the entry of a US-based IT firm into Bihar.
The founder and CEO of Tiger Analytics, Mahesh Kumar, expressed his optimism about the new venture, stating, We are hoping that the initial step that we are taking can lead to a lot of progress down the road. The company already has around 4,000 employees across India, primarily stationed in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Kumar’s personal connection to Bihar prompted the company’s expansion into the region.
Kumar, a native of Bihar, pointed out that many of the company’s employees relocated to Bihar during the COVID-19 pandemic and opted to continue remote work arrangements. He highlighted the potential of the local talent pool, which has remained underutilized in Bihar. In addition, the establishment of the Patna office received an encouraging response on social media.
Tiger Analytics specializes in consulting services related to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Sandeep Poundrik, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries in Bihar, expressed optimism regarding future developments in the IT sector. He stated, We hope that taking this lead into account, many more companies will come to Bihar in the same way.
Bihar faces challenges in attracting investments in the IT sector, including the need to improve its perception outside of India and create a more expansive local market. The Bihar government is encouraged by Tiger Analytics’ move and is preparing to host a Global Investors Summit in Patna. The summit will focus on promoting the IT sector to attract Indian and international companies to explore the opportunities and strengths within Bihar.
Overall, Tiger Analytics’ expansion into Bihar signals a positive step forward for the state’s emerging tech hub. The move has the potential to pave the way for further growth and development in the IT sector, attracting more companies to Bihar and boosting the region’s economy. The Bihar government’s upcoming summit aims to capitalize on this momentum and showcase Bihar as a viable destination for IT investments.
