Over 100,000 ChatGPT accounts have been discovered for sale on the dark web, according to Singapore-based threat intelligence company Group-IB. Credentials for the platform have seen a steady increase in demand from 74 in June 2022 to 26,902 in May 2023. Many businesses are integrating ChatGPT into their operations, leading to a potential rise in security issues and exposure of classified information. More than 40% of stolen ChatGPT accounts originate in the Asia Pacific region, with India being the worst affected. Group-IB recommends implementing two-factor authentication, conducting regular password updates, and using threat intelligence products to mitigate potential threats.
According to a recent report by EY, almost 60% of US employees believe C-suite and senior managers have been too slow to incorporate new technologies. Although three-quarters of the companies surveyed have introduced or adopted emerging technologies in the last three years, more than half of the employees believe that new technologies become outdated by the time they are fully adopted. Several subreddits have reclassified themselves as not safe for work (NSFW) in protest against Reddit’s recent treatment of its volunteer moderators, leading to a slew of pornographic content infiltrating non-porn communities. Users must now confirm they are at least 18 years old to view NSFW subreddits, which are also not eligible for advertising.
Brazil’s Embraer-owned electric aircraft manufacturer Eve has signed letters of intent for the potential sale of up to 150 flying cars to companies like Voar Aviation and Nordic Aviation. The move comes amid a growing interest in autonomous flying vehicles, which are seen as a remedy for urban congestion and reduced travel times. Although the company has about 2,800 orders for new vehicles, it has not yet begun production. Eve has recently undertaken wind tunnel testing and is due to start commercial operations in 2026.
