Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang recently made a significant gesture by hand-delivering the first DGX H200 GPU to OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. This move solidifies the deep collaboration between the two tech giants.
This donation follows the announcement made in March regarding the DGX H200 GPU, which was introduced alongside the powerful GB200 AI super chip. The H200 GPU boasts 1.8 times more memory and 1.4 times the bandwidth compared to its predecessor, the H100 GPU. This enhancement allows for faster information processing, reducing the reliance on external storage.
The GB200 AI super chip, on the other hand, is a groundbreaking development that is a staggering 8,470 times faster than the DGX-1 supercomputer that was gifted to OpenAI by Huang back in 2016. Huang describes this chip as a miracle.
