Shutterstock, a leading global creative platform for transformative brands and media companies, has partnered with NVIDIA to develop custom 3D models that can quickly generate high-fidelity 3D content by converting text into 3D assets. This groundbreaking collaboration is designed to drastically reduce the time-consuming process of artistically creating 3D models from scratch. It will be implemented in the upcoming months on Shutterstock.com through Creative Flow, its extensive range of issues for fast, consistent and quality content production. The NVIDIA-powered text-to-3D feature is also planned to be available on Turbosquid.com and NVIDIA Omniverse™ for 3D industrial metaverse applications.
With NVIDIA Picasso generative AI cloud service, Shutterstock helps 3D designers create shapes, mateirals, and generate textures for the 3D models with breathtaking accuracy and minimal time. This type of artificial intelligence can be used for successfully creating digital twins or custom-crafted models for various applications or platforms.
Paul Hennessy, the CEO of Shutterstock, was highly enthusiastic about the degree to which this collaboration can boost their product range. He mentioned that by incorporating 3D assets with NVIDIA’s infrastructure models and utilizing Shutterstock’s marketing and distribution sources, it would pave the way for generating large-scale progress in the field of creative manufacturing.
Greg Estes, the vice president of Developer Programs at NVIDIA, shared his excitement in regards to this partnership, noting that the power of generative AI is a valuable asset when it comes to software making and enterprises that seek to cultivate tools that empowered text prompts for designing 3D models saved time and effort for artists.
