New Relic, a leading observability platform, has recently launched a new tool – Grok – in the market. It is the world’s first generative AI assistant designed to help engineers with their observability tasks in a much more efficient way. With this generative AI assistant, engineers can easily access data and insights into their software performance and security through natural language queries.
This would involve tasks such as setting up instrumentation, creating reports and managing accounts. As large enterprises are increasingly shifting to language models for easier access to their services, New Relic was quick to launch this AI assistant for its customers. Manav Khurana, the Chief Product Officer at New Relic, gives the DevOps and DevSecOps movement a much deeper evaluation of this development. He explains that engineers can now get the data they need to manage their software projects easily with Grok. Moreover, he adds that this would be the best option to prevent the delay in the innovation in the observability tooling.
It is obvious that such a tool comes with several benefits. Developers can analyze a lot of data generated by the service and make sure it is done in a cost-effective manner. Plus, they can get answers to their queries like “Why is this service not working?” and access the root cause for any given problem. New Relic’s CodeStream, an integrated telemetry and collaboration service, would help them in debugging code-level issues.
William Staples, the CEO of New Relic, is excited with the launch of Grok. He states that New Relic has pioneered innovations far ahead of its competitors since it introduced cloud APM in 2008. He further adds that it would democratize the access to data and insights, and it will be beneficial for the organizations building agile, innovative, and long-lasting businesses. Earlier this year, New Relic had also introduced its MLOps observability platform which is mainly used to monitor applications built with OpenAI’s GPT APIs.
As a market leader in the Monitoring and Analytics space, New Relic has come a long way in its mission to help customers by identifying performance trends and usage patterns. The launch of Grok marks yet another step in the company’s journey to offer the best services to its customers and make sure that its engineering teams operate as efficiently as possible.
