New AI Boosts for Gmail, Meet, and Other Google Tools

Google Workspace continues to make technological advancements in its free office software, this time unveiling further improvements to Gmail, Meet, and other tools through its existing and upcoming AI boosts. While remote work has its pros and cons, the addition of AI is suggesting Google is embracing a video conferencing culture.

Google Meet now features automated note-taking and summaries that pick up action items and sync with Google Tasks. Additionally, video tiles are automatically arranged users a smarter view. Additionally, Slides can be made even more engaging with background music and image generation, while the multi-presenter mode in Slides is now accessible within Meet.

Similar AI-boosts have also been teased for Gmail, with a “Organize Your Inbox” tool slated, as well as text-writing assistance for Google Docs and soundtracks for Google Sheets.

For many, the implications of AI remain a mystery, but with Google continuing to bring AI into its products, it is clear that the technology is set to create more efficient office software that helps users save time and produce better content.
