Netflix is cracking down on US account sharers by offering the ability to pay a small fee to share their streaming services with up to two extra people. This will not only provide extra revenue to their sizable user base, but could potentially cut down on the number of non-paying households accessing the platform. By launching this new paid account sharing service in four countries in Q1, Netflix has reason to believe that it will be successful during the US rollout in Q2.
On the tech front, it was recently revealed that Apple is currently working on an upcoming mixed-reality headset. The headset, speculated to be called Reality One or Reality Pro, could potentially focus on gaming, fitness, sports and collaboration tools and sport the ability to switch between virtual and augmented realities. It is expected to be announced at WWDC 2023.
