Microsoft Bing AI with GPT-4 Goes Free with Nine New Features

Date:

Microsoft recently released free GPT-4 chat features to Bing, their search engine. Microsoft dropped the waitlist so that users can access GPT-4 conversations on Bing Instantaneously. The upgrade includes nine new features to improve user chat experience. It was just days before Google’s annual I/O event where they would talk about their AI achievements. Bing had already recorded more than 500 million chat conversations within the space of 90 days and had ammassed to over 100 million users. In addition to this, Bing mobile apps have increased by fourfold.

To take advantage of the visual element of search results, Microsoft is thus introducing charts and graphs along with improved answer formatting. More than 200 million images were created on Bing Image Creator within the previous 90 days. This number will increase as this feature is now expanding to over one hundred languages.

Microsoft is also aiming to create a better user interface for Edge, the browser in which one of four Bing users chat. This new interface will include organised containers, rounded corners, semi-transparent visual elements and a slicker look. To improve user experience further, Bing Chat users will be able to save and share past chat conversations, quicken longer documents such as PDFs, and conduct more complex instructions.

Multimodal input support is probably the most important feature of Bing GPT-4 upgrade. The user has the privilege to use both text and images for better results. Furthermore, Bing Chat users will be able to export and share conversations in their native language
