Logitech has recently introduced a new software tool called Logi AI Prompt Builder, which allows users to access ChatGPT’s capabilities quickly and efficiently. By linking a specific key on a keyboard or mouse to the tool within the Logi Options+ software, users can create shortcuts to summon the prompt builder whenever needed.
The Logi AI Prompt Builder window will display relevant functions or recipes, such as Rephrase, Summarize, and Create Email, based on the highlighted text. Users also have the option to create custom recipes, including one that generates images, and adjust the tone and length of the results to suit their requirements.
This new tool aims to streamline workflows for those who frequently use AI tools, reducing interruptions and increasing productivity. Logitech keyboards and mice that support the English language version of the Logi Options+ app, such as the MX, Ergo, Signature, and Studio Series devices, can access the Logi AI Prompt Builder. However, older models may not be compatible, requiring users to upgrade to newer devices.
The recently launched Logitech Signature AI Edition Mouse features a dedicated button for the prompt builder, making it easy to access the tool. Available for purchase on Logitech’s website in the US and the UK, the mouse is priced at $49.99 and £54.99, respectively.
In a similar move earlier this year, Microsoft introduced a dedicated keyboard key to summon Copilot, powered by OpenAI’s technology. The Copilot keys are set to appear in new PCs this spring, as well as in future Surface devices. As the integration of AI tools becomes more prevalent in tech devices, these advancements aim to enhance user experiences and streamline workflows through intuitive shortcuts and features.
