Juniper Networks is heavily investing in its cloud-based product Mist, offering a new integration, additional secured access control service, integration with ChatGPT, and Zoom support. The AI-driven large language model (LLM) of ChatGPT is being integrated with Mist’s virtual network assistant, Marvis, supporting AI-powered natural language queries and allowing the system to detect various network problems and offering assistance to IT administrators.
Juniper is also adding Zoom support capabilities, allowing Marvis to pull data from Zoom clients and the Zoom cloud and analyzing them with network-specific insights to get a more detailed understanding of the root cause of bad video call experiences.
On top of expanding Marvis’s capabilities, Juniper is introducing Mist Access Assurance which is a network access control (NAC) security service. Access Assurance works on various devices and includes identity-based micro-segmentation and policy assignment. This services looks at user/device identity, role and location context to create a hassle-free secure authentication and authorization. It also has a cloud-native architecture and leverages AIOps to set up and operate access management, policy creation and enforcement from anywhere.
