The Cannes Film Festival has recently confirmed the world premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny which was first revealed by Variety last week. This instalment is reportedly Harrison Ford’s last time playing the titular character and the festival will pay tribute to the actor’s illustrious career. A stellar cast including Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen will walk up the iconic steps of the Palais des Festivals on May 18 where the movie will be screened out of competition.
Details of the film’s plot are still under wraps, however, based on the trailer, the movie is projected to depict an adventure against the former Nazis, where de-aging technology is used to rejuvenate someone. While the production of the narrative is being helmed by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas will act as executive producers.
