Google employees tasked with evaluating their employer’s AI chatbot Bard reportedly gave it harsh reviews, calling it “cringeworthy” and a “pathological liar,” according to Bloomberg. The report highlights concerns over Google deprioritizing AI ethics to quickly release the AI chatbot, and users on the beta version of Bard have complained of it taking wrong advice, plagiarizing articles and getting basic math wrong.
