Although there are concerns about its possible misuse, implementing a pragmatic approach towards ChatGPT can benefit students by enhancing their understanding and sustain their interest in the subject. The article suggests using the Flipped Classroom Pedagogy (FCP) to improve the teaching-learning process and address the issue of academically deficient students (ADS). Open book examinations (OBEs) can test students’ creativity and solve the problem of ChatGPT’s possible misuse in examinations. While ChatGPT may make certain aspects of academic work less arduous, it cannot replicate original thinking and creativity.
