IT and data management research and consulting firm Enterprise Management Associates (EMA™) announced the release of its new research report titled “AI-Driven Networks: Leveling Up Network Management with AI/ML and AIOps”, authored by their Vice President of Research Shamus McGillicuddy. The research report focused on how modern, intelligent systems, along with AI and Machine Learning technologies, are improving network management.
Based on a survey of 250 IT professionals, EMA’s report followed the progress of organizations who are embracing these technologies. By applying them to the various layers of IT infrastructure and operations, many organizations are witnessing a newfound level of efficiency and automation in their network management tasks.
The report revealed that even two years after the majority of IT professionals (90%) recognized the potential benefits of AI-driven network management, current optimism regarding the technology’s potential remained high (92%). It noted several advantages such as improved overall performance, agility, and security, available through both more specialized solutions from network management and network infrastructure vendors, in addition to general purpose tools such as ChatGPT.
EMA also observed that only 41% of IT organizations felt confident with evaluating AI/ML and AIOps technology for their own network management use cases, in addition to only 30% of them considered themselves to have been successful in their engagement with the technology.
The report highlighted several findings regarding the most successful implementation of the new intelligent systems and technologies. In addition, a free webinar will be held on 10th May, providing insight on some of the key highlights of the report.
Broadcom and Juniper Networks supported the research leading to the report.
