The European Union is taking on the issue of artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications in the near future. One particular AI company, OpenAI, has received attention as its CEO, Sam Altman, has raised concerns about the tough regulations potentially coming from the EU. During a visit to both Paris and London, Altman had addressed this issue. His proposals, presented to members of the U.S. Congress last week, included safe standards for high-capacity AI models; independent audits of creators; and a federal agency to control licences.
