After slamming OpenAI’s ChatGPT, tech and business magnate Elon Musk has created ‘TruthGPT’ as an alternative to ChatGPT. According to Musk, the goal of this project is to establish an AI that prioritizes understanding the universe. This move is a step towards avoiding the possible destruction of humanity through AI.
Musk has also started a new company called ‘X.AI’ in order to promote Artificial Intelligence in the ChatGPT era. Incorporated in Nevada and Texas, the company is solely run by Musk himself along with Jared Birchall, who is the director of Musk’s family office.
With the emergence of ChatGPT and GPT-4, top entrepreneurs and AI researchers, including Musk and Steve Wozniak, Co-founder of Apple wrote an open letter, calling all AI labs to take minor precautions and pause training any AI system more powerful than GPT-4 for a period of at least six months.
In the last few years, Elon Musk has made a name for himself in the business and tech community. The billionaire’s net worth is an estimated $71.2 billion and is known for his involvement in popular projects such as SpaceX, Neuralink, SolarCity, and the Boring Company among others. Steve Wozniak, on the other hand, is a technology entrepreneur and philanthropist, and credited as the co-founder of Apple.
