Dubai Showcases Limitless Potential of Generative AI at Assembly
Dubai, renowned for its technological advancements and innovative projects, has once again demonstrated its commitment to pushing the boundaries of human creativity. The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), recently showcased a series of groundbreaking exhibitions that explored the extraordinary potential of generative AI in the fields of art and music.
The assembly brought together artists and technologists to present a mesmerizing display of artwork, musical performances, and cutting-edge technologies. Through these installations, visitors were able to witness firsthand how generative AI can enhance human creativity and produce awe-inspiring results.
One of the highlights of the event was the Human x AI Music Show, where an Emirati pianist, only 11 years old, performed alongside advanced AI technology. The harmonious duet between the musician and the AI created melodies that were both familiar and otherworldly. As the musician played, real-time visual art was generated, immersing the audience in a multisensory experience that will not be easily forgotten.
Furthermore, attendees had the opportunity to tap into their own artistic abilities at the Create Your Own AI-Generated Artwork interactive station. With guidance from the DFF’s generative AI expert, visitors were able to create their own masterpieces using the power of AI.
The AI Portait-ist installation offered another captivating experience, blending art with technology. Here, generative AI not only produced a portrait but also interpreted the subject, adding a unique artistic touch to the final result.
The Artist Within installation took participants on a transformative journey, where their artistic visions came to life. Regardless of their level of experience with traditional artistic tools, visitors were able to visualize their own creations with the assistance of AI.
In addition to the DFF’s installations, partner organizations showcased their own art activations. VoiceArt, for instance, provided a platform for individuals to bring their thoughts and ideas to life using their own voice. This innovative solution combined voice control technology with generative AI to transform spoken words into printable images.
Tashkeel, an incubator of visual art and design, hosted the ART x GenAI Exhibition, featuring impressive artworks generated entirely by AI.
The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI, taking place at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, is attracting a diverse audience of over 1,800 officials, experts, and decision-makers. The event boasts more than 70 speakers participating in approximately 45 sessions and 12 exhibitions, focusing on five main themes: Generative AI 101, Generative AI Sector Deep Dives, Governments, Regulators and Generative AI, Generative AI and Other Emerging Technologies, and Big Tech vs Emerging Startups.
By organizing this assembly, the DFF aims to solidify Dubai’s position as a global hub for emerging technologies.
