An emergency situation was declared at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Tuesday. According to reports, a glitch caused the urgent need for a Delhi-bound Air India flight to make an emergency landing. On board the flight was 180 passengers, who all arrived safely.
Air India made a statement confirming that the flight (AI858) operating on Pune-Delhi route had arrived ahead of its scheduled time due to a minor crack on the aircraft’s windshield. The windshield will be changed and the aircraft will undergo a necessary maintenance procedure. All passengers and flight crew were safe.
