Title: Strategies for Wealth Amid Global Economic Challenges Unveiled at IGCF 2023
The upcoming 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) 2023, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, is set to make a debut with the unveiling of a significant report titled Human Capital Management in a Crisis-Ridden World: Strategies for Preserving and Advancing Wealth Amid Global Economic Challenges. Developed in collaboration with Trends Research and Advisory, this report delves into the ways wealth can be protected and grown in the face of ongoing global economic uncertainties.
To be held under the theme of Today’s Resources, Tomorrow’s Wealth, the two-day event is scheduled to take place on the 13th and 14th of September at the Expo Centre Sharjah. Registration is currently open on the official website of the IGCF.
The report, segmented into five sections, begins by explaining the concept and significance of human capital in the modern economy. From there, it goes on to explore the key findings and recommendations for preserving and advancing wealth, drawing insights from global experiences. The report also sheds light on the major challenges faced by human capital during times of economic crises and offers effective and sustainable solutions to tackle them. Furthermore, it highlights the remarkable achievements of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in human capital management.
As a part of the IGCF 2023, attendees can look forward to 10 insightful sessions and inspiring talks. Notable among them is the Health Media session organized by the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. This session aims to help healthcare workers understand the role of digital media in raising awareness about the importance of health and accessing reliable information and services. It will also focus on developing qualified professionals in this field.
Another thought-provoking talk, The Power of Artificial Intelligence and the Enhancement of Communication in the Digital Era, will be organized by Sharjah Media City (Shams). Abdulla Alsharhan, the Director of Creativity and Corporate Identity at Shams, will discuss the potential of artificial intelligence in transforming government communication. He will share his experience with the Create with Shams platform, which utilizes AI to generate innovative content.
Given that it is the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, one of the panel discussions on the Gov. Talk Stage will center around The Role of Media and Education in Sustainability, in collaboration with UAEU. This session will explore the best practices for strengthening the role of educational and media institutions in achieving the national vision.
Additionally, the Sustainable Communication, Change Strategy session will provide insights into advanced tools for environmental protection and addressing the consequences of climate change. Participants will gain a deep understanding of sustainability, its applications, pillars, and the necessary tools to realize its goals through community and environmental initiatives.
The workshop, New Media and Community Sustainability, organized by the Training Department of Sharjah Government Media Bureau, will focus on different forms of media, with a particular emphasis on new media’s integral role in combating detrimental social trends.
Exploring the dynamic role of youth within family units and their influence on society and the environment, Dr. Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Azzazi, CEO of the Centre for Excellence in Training, Administrative Consulting, and Development, will participate in a talk titled Accept the Challenge. This session will be hosted by Sharjah’s Family Development Department and Branches.
In parallel, the Districts and Villages Affairs Department in Sharjah will organize a session titled Districts Councils… The Link Between Government and Society. This session will delve into the pivotal role of district councils in developing public services and understanding the needs of citizens, ultimately fostering greater social cohesion and cultural diversity.
