Boston-based Consensus, an innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered search engine designed to facilitate scientific research, recently announced that it has secured $3 million in a seed funding round to continue its mission to improve search engine quality. In conjunction with OpenAI, the search engine leverages the most recent and accurate sources, allowing it to offer thoroughly researched answers to questions related to science and academia. Consensus has also reported that since its launch in September, nearly 200,000 registered users have utilized the platform to gain an edge in research.
The company aims to provide genuine answers to life’s most interesting questions, by using the AI technology to filter out biased and awkward search results. This method delivers expert knowledge from 200 million scientific and academic research papers, helping to simplify the research and understanding process.
Alongside its funding round, the company is also inviting top executives to attend a seminar to discuss the integration and optimization of AI investments. The event is slated to take place in San Francisco on July 11-12, 2021, and will address related topics such as data centers in 2023, amongst other topics.
Consensus is a Boston-based company founded by CEO Abinash Bhattacharjee, a Ph.D. from Harvard University with vast experience in Deep Learning and Computer Vision. He has shared his vision and expertise with many leading organizations, such as Google and Goldman Sachs. Bhattacharjee is also the recipient of several prestigious awards, such as the AI for America Prize, for his work on Consensus. His goal for the platform is to continue to improve the capabilities of AI, to help the bring science and technology closer together for practical applications.
