ChatGPT Moves Closer to Being Like Bing Chat

Date:

ChatGPT is the popular platform for its AI-powered chatbot technology and has announced that subscribers of its $20 per month ChatGPT Plus subscription will be the first ones to receive its newest feature which will bring it closer to the Bing Chat platform. The feature, which is still in alpha, allows the AI to be connected to the Bing search engine, making it easier to pull up information from the web and combine it with GPT-4 technology when producing its responses, very similar to how Bing Chat works.

VisualVichaar, who is active on Twitter, has provided some insights on the feature, indicating that it is using Bing, and not Google, search capabilities and that users do not have to use the browsing feature to get access to it if they prefer. The thread also suggests that those interested in the feature should sign up for the plugins waitlist and select browsing as their main focus.

ChatGPT has also made sure to put additional parameters for users who want to specify and tailor the searches, but for those who are still starting out or are more casual users, Bing Chat still offers the most convenience, especially since it does not require an additional subscription fee. Ultimately, ChatGPT’s latest features should make access and use of the platform much easier and better at providing relevant and accurate results.
