The corporate responsibility landscape has changed tremendously in recent years, with companies like Blue Circle and Log9 Materials at the forefront of the global effort to reach Net Zero status. On April 13th, these two organisations collaborated to host the first ever ‘Net Zero Chiefs Roundtable Discussion’, inviting 20 attendees from well-known brands in the sustainability, energy and mobility sectors to share experiences and ideas for achieving Net Zero goals.
Blue Circle, a professional networking startup, and Log9 Materials, a deep-tech startup, oversaw this first edition of the roundtable, with topics such as renewable energy, sustainable transportation, and circular economy up for discussion. Moderated by Log9 Materials’ Founder and CEO Dr. Akshay Singhal, attendees included Tata Motors, Godrej Group, SUN Pharma, Welspun Group, Bira91, Zydus Wellness, Dalmia Bharat Group, Marico Limited, Emami Group, Flipkart, JSW Cement, Omega Seiki Mobility, SKODA AUTO Volkswagen India, and representatives from Blue Circle and Log9 Materials.
Participants discussed approaches and strategies to reduce carbon emissions from the supply chain, methods of electrifying material handling equipments, and investments in renewable energy. Further topics included the role of logistics, EVs and last mile mobility in reducing emissions, as well as the challenges of adopting cleantech technologies.
“Climate change is evolving as a daunting challenge globally and the time to act on it is NOW”, noted Dr. Singhal. This event was a great way to get the conversation of Responsible Energy going and the results will bring about a positive impact on the ecosystem.
