Binance Incorporates Artificial Intelligence Chatbot ChatGPT into its Education Platform

Date:

In late November 2022, the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT made headlines around the world, stirring up some opposition from those who had reservations about the technology. Despite initial worries, this technology has been gathering more and more traction, as seen by its integration in Binance Academy, the educational platform of the well-known cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain developer, Binance.

On April 24th, Binance introduced its new AI-driven tool, Binance Sensei, to the public. This mechanism utilizes machine learning to filter out the most pertinent information from Binance Academy’s educational platform to answer the inquiries of users concerning Web3. In this way, users will be able to have an “AI-powered mentor” available to answer any questions they may have in relatively concise summaries.

Reactions to Binance Sensei were generally positive, yet some were unconvinced at the idea of having an AI provide guidance. With the construction and integration of AI in educational systems becoming more and more prevalent, the potential abuse of this technology has become a growing concern among the public.

In addition to Binance, prominent technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Alibaba have all developed their own versions of ChatGPT. Apart from its use in educational matters, this technology has gone on to increase efficiency in the memecoin domain too.

Unfortunately, the rising implementation of AI in various spheres has also raised fears about the power this technology could have if left unmonitored. This point was put into practice as Italy recently imposed a temporary ban on the utilization of AI followed by European officials signaling a heightened interest in looking into the BigTech firms’ AI algorithms.

As the AI continues to spread its roots into more and more industries, there is an increasing likelihood of a regulatory clampdown to control the technology. In anticipation of this, China has already made steps to launch mandatory security checks for all of the AI services currently running within its boundaries.
