Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha addressed the meeting, emphasizing the significance of using digital tools to make the healthcare system more efficient and outcome-oriented, in addition to maintaining medical records and evaluating various healthcare modalities, including pharmacy-therapy and traditional medicine.
To make digital health more accessible to healthcare workers, Mr. Kotecha underlined the necessity of setting up the upcoming WHO-Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India. It will help to integrate technology into traditional medicine and evaluate its efficacy. At the side event, Mr. Kotecha was also part of a panel discussion about creating a digital health ecosystem.
