Vijayawada-based electric scooter manufacturer Avera AI Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (AAMPL) is expanding its business to emerging markets in Australia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. The company’s founder and CEO, Dr. A Venkata Ramana, shared that they have already initiated pilot programs in Vietnam and Sri Lanka, with plans to launch in Australia in November. Avera is committed to sustainable practices and aims to provide innovative electric mobility solutions.
Avera is dedicated to reshaping conventional two-wheelers and offering sustainable and energy-efficient electric vehicles as an alternative to gasoline-powered transport. Currently, the company manufactures 25,000 electric vehicles (EVs) per year but plans to increase production to one lakh to meet the growing demand. As part of their expansion, Avera recently unveiled the VINCERO Electric Scooter, which symbolizes their commitment to sustainable and innovative electric mobility solutions.
Dr. Venkata Ramana emphasized that Avera aims to tackle the pressing challenge of urban air pollution by providing affordable and energy-efficient electric scooters and motorcycles. Their vision extends beyond India, as they strive to lead a transformative shift in the two-wheeler industry globally.
Avera has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New Renewable Energy Development Corporation (NREDCAP) to supply EVs to the employees of the Andhra Pradesh State government. Additionally, Avera offers a monthly installment facility of Rs 2,800 for the purchase of EVs, making them more accessible to consumers.
Dr. Venkata Ramana highlighted that the cost of batteries used in electronic vehicles is gradually decreasing, which he believes will lead to a further drop in the prices of EVs in the future.
