Amazon, a leading digital retailer and the leader in cloud computing, has announced that it will join the race of Generative AI. This artificial intelligence model employs a cutting-edge technology which enables computers to produce text, code and other type of images without a human input. Google and Microsoft have both tried their hands in the domain of generative AI which include bots that make errors at times.
Amazon has now released two new A.I models as a part of Amazon Web Services for the customers to build their own bots. It allows companies across all industries to build their own applications incorporating the generative AI technology. OpenAI’s text-generating ChatGPT and the success of AI-image generators, has instigated the growth of the generative AI, which is the reason for this widespread usage of the model.
Adam Selipsky, the CEO of AWS explains that almost all of their customers are asking for generative AI solutions. AWS is providing a platform called Bedrock which can provide access to the cutting-edge language models developed by Anthropic and AI21.The company also offers Titan Text which can generate text from a source and Text embeddings generate a mathematical representation of the given text that can be used in translation and searching purposes. ‘Stable Diffusion’ is an AI model developed by Stability AI which can generate images and it is provided by AWS Bedrock.
By providing tools and services to enable customers to develop their own application using Generative AI, Amazon aims to improve the experiences of their customers by reducing the friction and burden of building their apps with the help of language models. Amazon, Google and Microsoft are all in the race to dominate the genrative A.I market and it is likely that the one with the best services would become a market leader.
