AIIMS Bhubaneswar and IIT Bhubaneswar of Odisha have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their academic and research collaboration in a myriad of sectors, from health to technology. The agreement promises to improve the care of patients in the region by encouraging the development of cutting-edge technologies in the medical field, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, early disease diagnosis, and biomedical engineering.
AIIMS Executive Director, Dr Ashutosh Biswas, and the Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, Shreepad Karmalkar, signed the MoU on Tuesday night. Dr. Biswas highlighted the importance of the collaboration and its potential impact on the healthcare system of Odisha and the ability to address current medical challenges. Meanwhile, Director Karmalkar praised the agreement and showed his enthusiasm for the possibilities that this partnership will bring to the region.
