According to a new report by SmartAsset, the interest in ChatGPT and other forms of artificial intelligence among financial advisors is increasing rapidly. Financial services firms have started implementing AI tech, with Orion Advisor Solutions launching ChatGPT-3.5 series integration with Redtail Speak. SmartAsset surveyed 100 advisors on its SmartAdvisor matching platform, asking if they were currently using generative AI such as ChatGPT in any aspect of their advisory practices. Of the respondents, 27% replied they were using or testing it out in some capacity, while 30% of respondents said they had not used ChatGPT yet but wanted to test it out. In contrast, 43% of respondents answered they were not using ChatGPT or other AI and had no plans to. When asked as a follow-up why they weren’t using AI, 38% of respondents answered they were not comfortable with the technology. Financial advisors are showing a growing interest in ChatGPT, and it may continue evolving and playing a more significant role in the industry.
