Alibaba, the tech giant, has integrated its AI-powered ChatGPT-like service into DingTalk, its workplace collaboration tool. This move comes after the launch of its language engine called Tongyi Qianwen last week. On Tuesday, President Ye Jun demonstrated how the new updates on the app can organize conversations automatically and produce written responses to prompts in a split second. It has also been reported that DingTalk is the first product to access Alibaba’s ChatGPT-style processing capabilities, due to being granted exclusive access to the company’s computing resources.
Rival software platform Feishu, owned by ByteDance, is also in a hurry to incorporate AI services within its app.
