Hollywood Actors and Studios Break Off Talks, Extending Strike Indefinitely

Talks between Hollywood actors and studios have come to a bitter end, extending the strike indefinitely. The studios walked away from the talks after reviewing the actors’ recent proposal, citing an untenable economic burden. The strike has been ongoing since July 14, with actors advocating for pay increases for streaming programming and control over their images generated by artificial intelligence. The studios argue that their offers were comparable to those made during previous strikes. With no resolution in sight, production on scripted shows and movies remains on hold indefinitely.
