BYD Takes on International Leaders with Innovative Body Control Technology

Date:

On April 10, 2023, Chinese automotive company BYD showcased the U9, a sports car under its premium Yangwang brand, which had been energized by DiSus, BYD’s electric-powered body control suspension system. This system is boasted to be the world’s first comprehensive Chinese solution for vehicle dynamics control, an area that foreign automakers have been more than familiar with. BYD has since said that the DiSus system will be incorporated into various models such as their Dynasty, Ocean and Denza lines, with the desire of having their cars compete in the luxury market.

It is stated that the ultimate result of the new system will provide drivers and passengers a smoother, more comfortable ride using body control and stability, not just on the flat roads, but on bumps and uneven surfaces as well. The DiSus system is backed by an in-depth combination of sensors, processors and AI technologies, which add in the necessary vehicle control features that are already used in high-end foreign makes and brands.

BYD, which stands for “Build Your Dreams”, is a Chinese and Hong Kong based manufacturer and dealer of electric vehicles. Founded in 2003, the company is one of the frontrunners of the EV industry and is led by Chairman Wang Chuanfu. The Chairman believes that the DiSus suspension system will help close the gap between Chinese EV technologies and those of their foreign counterparts.

The DiSus system, through its use of advanced technologies, will no doubt bring a great deal of stability and ride comfort to the many fans of BYD vehicles. The company’s commitment to stay competitive in the ever-changing luxury car market is indicative of their unrelenting desire to meet the demands of their customers.
