OpenAI has recently introduced an updated version of its dedicated ChatGPT app, which now offers improved support for iPad users. The new update optimizes the app’s layout to make full use of the iPad’s larger screen. Siri and Shortcuts integration with ChatGPT is also included in the latest update, along with enhanced drag and drop support for messages.
Prior to this update, ChatGPT’s iPadOS app was limited to the size of the iPhone screen, but the latest version now offers a much more optimized interface for the iPad. Design-wise, however, there have been no major changes to ChatGPT’s appearance on iPadOS.
The ChatGPT app for iOS and iPadOS provides professional responses, creative feedback, and instant responses. It also offers chat history synchronization and support for voice input. The app’s use of Whisper, an open-source speech recognition system, means that it is capable of understanding and interpreting natural language.
ChatGPT Plus subscribers can also access GPT-4, OpenAI’s latest language model, which offers improved chat experiences and faster response times.
While the app was initially launched in the US for iPhone and iPad users, it is now available in 11 more countries, including Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
At present, the ChatGPT app is not available in India, but it is expected to be rolled out more widely in the near future. Android users can currently access ChatGPT via the browser, but an Android app is expected to be released soon.
