The State of Qatar has taken a major leap towards modernizing its justice system by adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to speed up its justice delivery. The system of converting words to text using AI techniques is put into action by the Public Prosecution of the country to increase efficiency and improve its services.
This system will be used in investigations, decision-making, and other procedural work to convert verbal communication into written notes quickly and accurately with minimum manual labor. This clearly indicates the dedication and effort made by the country to achieve prompt justice which is the priority of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Recently, the wording-to-text conversion system was used as part of trial in some of the Public Prosecution offices. The system proved to be successful and efficient as the services it provided garnered a positive response from the users. Consequently, the decision to implement this across the Public Prosecution was made.
Going forward, the Public Prosecution plans to adopt advanced technology solutions including AI and automation to streamline legal processes and ensure prompt justice is achieved.
Apart from the Public Prosecution, the most important person mentioned in the article is the Attorney General, Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, who is responsible for the organization, management and monitoring of the services of the Public Prosecution, and is the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission.
