A recent study conducted by the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) reveals that the IT industry in Jordan is rapidly adopting artificial intelligence (AI) systems and technologies. The study, released on Saturday, indicates that 63 Jordanian IT companies have begun integrating AI into their product development and services, highlighting a significant shift in the industry.

According to the study, 42 percent of these companies have expressed interest in incorporating data analytics tools and technologies into their product lines. This signifies their dedication to utilizing big data to gain a better understanding of the market, enhance the customer experience, and make well-informed decisions. The adoption of data analytics reflects the companies’ commitment to staying ahead in a competitive landscape.

NidalBitar, the CEO of int@j, emphasized that companies are prioritizing the use of AI to enhance their capabilities across various sectors and improve service quality. The integration of AI allows them to develop new products that meet the evolving needs of the market. Additionally, approximately 36 percent of these companies are focusing on strengthening cyber-security measures. This heightened awareness stems from the increasing need to protect data and systems from cyber threats, particularly during significant digital transformations.

Moreover, the study found that 19 percent of companies are actively involved in developing products and services that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT). This strategic response aligns with the growing market demand fueled by the expansion of 5G networks. By embracing IoT, these companies aim to provide innovative solutions that cater to the evolving requirements of businesses and consumers in the digital era.
